Sam and I know each other through a couple mutual friends. We did a portrait session together a few years ago, so I was so excited to see her name pop up on my newsfeed one day with one of the most touching proposal stories I've ever heard!
"My friend took me for a walk in a park by my house and Ben had all of my closest friends and family there. He wrote 15 poems creating a timeline of our relationship, and he framed each poem. As I walked down the path in the park there were 15 stations of my closest friends holding a picture and reading the poem to me. After the 15 poems I got to a dock and there were rose petals everywhere. It was sunset, and my whole family is there, and the best surprise was that Ben reached out to the family of a 3 year old girl battling cancer who I have become really close with over the year and he had her on the dock holding a sign that said "Sam will you marry Ben?" .... i just lost it! She was in a cinderella outfit and crown, haha, and it was just perfect! Then we went home and all my family friends were there for a mini celebration."
Needless to say, I was thrilled when she got in touch with me, asking if I could do their engagement session! I was in New Jersey for a wedding that Saturday (coming soon!), so we got up early the next day and went to the Skylands Manor in Ringwood, NJ. It was a stunning location on a gorgeous autumn day. And as you'll see, Sam and Ben really couldn't get any cuter. I can't wait to photograph their engagement party later this year! Thanks to Lexi for assisting and taking a few pretty photos alongside me!
Congrats Sam and Ben! I know you have an incredible life together ahead of you!
