Sonal and Amey, Engagement Session in Boston, MA
Sonal and Amey's Boston, Massachusetts engagement session.
Sonal contacted me the week before Thanksgiving. She and her fiance, Amey, are getting married in India in a couple of weeks, and they wanted to squeeze in an engagement session before they left in early December. They were hoping to go to the Reflection Pond and the Charles, since both places were special to them. They spent a lot of time at the first, and Amey proposed for a second time at the Charles (he wanted to propose here and in India - so sweet!).
We were all eager to make this engagement session happen, and time was tight, so we were all disappointed when our original date had to be postponed due to the weather. We rescheduled for the only remaining available date before they left and crossed our fingers. Unfortunately, it ended up being cold and rainy - just our luck! Still, we all decided to go ahead and make it work. Despite being drenched, we had a lot of fun! Sonal and Amey had known each other and been dating for a long time, and they were so clearly best friends. They were so much fun to be around! Congratulations and best of luck, Sonal and Amey! :)
Emily and Matthew, Engagement Session in Downtown Boston
Recently, I got to spend a weekend afternoon walking around Boston with Emily and Matthew. After a couple emails inquiring about photographing their 2014 wedding at the Omni Parker House, I knew I'd love these two!
Emily has moved around the country several times, eventually coming to the Boston Conservatory, where she studied ballet. She now teaches ballet, nannies, and dances professionally! Matthew grew up in Massachusetts, and is very close with his family and childhood friends. He majored in math and loves talking science with his family :)
Emily told me they love walking around the city, people watching in the Public Garden, making yummy fall baked goods, and trying out new restaurants together. From our emails, I knew we'd get along very well!
For their engagement session, we decided to walk around the public garden (amongst many extremely fat squirrels), Newbury Street, and over by the Charles. It was so much fun hanging out with these guys! They're fun, down to earth, and they're always making each other laugh :) We were lucky and managed to catch the last weekend of fall foliage, too! Anyway, it was easy to tell Emily and Matthew are a wonderful fit for each other. I can't wait to photograph their wedding next year!
