  • Em (they/them) is a very queer, very neurodivergent artist and somatic embodiment coach living in Jamaica Plain.

Em’s artwork explores the process of unmasking, healing from disabling CPTSD, and dignifying their authentic self-expression through connecting with their intuition, sense of pleasure, and the full spectrum of their emotions to bring them into tangible form.

As a steadfast lover of exploration, pleasure, beauty, and play, em finds themselves making with nearly any medium they can get their hands on.

Currently, they’re best known as a printmaker, particularly for their cyanotypes, block prints, and screen printed wall hangings, with bits of writing that range from heartfelt and vulnerable to playful and witty.

In 2025, they’ve  added chunky, textured, vibrant oil pastel pieces born from an exploration of visual and kinetic pleasure meeting raw emotional expression.

  • Em was once a full time wedding, family, and portrait photographer before a severe, disabling CPTSD flare in 2018 led to a long break.

After many years of intensive CPTSD care and several years repairing their relationship with photography, that photographic spark has returned. They now offer embodied portraiture sessions and “day-in-the-life style” family portrait sessions.

  • In their embodiment work, they use somatic tools such as gentle movement, embodied doodling, journaling, art-making, sound, and song to guide those they work with into deeper relationship with the language of their bodies, into deeper solidarity with their most vulnerable parts, and into a fuller sense of authentic self-expression.

They offer local workshops and groups centering creativity, embodiment, nature, and relationship + community building.

Their 1:1 offerings include 1:1 Somatic Accompaniment, Somatic Tarot Integration Sessions, and Embodied Human Design Readings.
