Embodied Making Retreat || Nov 14-17 || In the Poconos, PA
Nov 14-17 in the Poconos (Long Pond, PA, Lenni-Lenape Land*) please read full description, especially the important note toward the end!
Come practice resting, dropping into your senses, tuning into your body’s signals, challenging perfectionism and urgency, and accessing play, pleasure, intuition, and embodied making in this 3 day retreat in the Poconos hosted and facilitated by Emily Tebbetts (they/them), and assisted by Cheyenne Gil(she/they).
There will be facilitated mindfulness + embodiment practices daily, lots of opportunity to connect with nature and each other, as well as facilitated:
embodied journaling sessions
learn basic block printing (supplies provided)
life drawing (with the opportunity to try out modeling, too! It can be so special and powerful to see the art others make of you and your body.)
cyanotyping
Pleasure practice
**Embodied portraiture sessions may also be offered at the retreat - tbd.
All activities are optional! This is a container to practice listening to your body in ways that might be challenging to practice in your everyday life, even if that means lots of alone time.
Nudity is welcome (and optional) on this retreat! If this isn’t something your bod feels good about witnessing/being around right now, this probably isn’t the right retreat for you.
Folks will provide their own food but are welcome to coordinate with each other - we will connect you beforehand. There will be between 4-7 participants on this retreat.
Many of our past retreat participants have formed deep friendships, still stay in touch, and even cross the country to spend time together. We have treasured each one of the retreats that we’ve hosted together, the people we’ve connected with, and the experiences we’ve had each time, and are so excited to have an opportunity to host another one.
Most of all, we trust the magic of doula-ing this retreat into being in the way we’re doing it - centering our own bodies’ integrity, staying process-oriented, and trusting the flow of life. If this is feeling like a synchronicity, or a big YES in your gut, we would love to see you there.
No need for urgency - we know we will be hosting retreats again in the future. If this one’s not quite right for you, we hope you trust that, too.

****IMPORTANT NOTE****:
We had a last-minute, unexpected opportunity to turn a tough life circumstance + a soon-to-be-lost rental deposit into a chance to put our next retreat together, after a 2 year hiatus.
We only had a few days to put it together, and we decided that we would use this as an opportunity to practice honoring our bodies and their needs, desires, and limitations - challenging urgency, and centering ease, surrender, and trusting that what’s meant to work out, will, even if we don’t do things the way we think we “should”, like… marketing it for literally one day. Ha.
We need 3 sign ups at a minimum by October 29 at 11:59pm in order to cover the remaining rental balance on the house rental + host this retreat. If we have 3 people buy their ticket by 10/29 (11:59pm), we will keep sales open and move forward with the retreat.
If we don’t reach 3 sign ups by then, we’re going to surrender the deposit and cancel the rental before the remaining balance is due on 10/30, and anyone who signed up will be promptly refunded.
We’re trusting that if it’s meant to be this time, it will happen with ease and find the people who were meant to be here with us this time. If it’s not meant to be this time, we’re grateful that we had the opportunity to prep for a future retreat, which we trust will come when the timing is right!
We’re excited to hopefully see you there, celebrate these vessels of ours, and make, rest, nourish, and play together.
*10% of sales will be redistributed to the Lenni-Lenape Nation.
