Embodiment Retreats
Intimate, care-fully crafted 3.5 day retreats co-hosted by myself and Philadelphia-based fat affirming boudoir photographer Cheyenne Gil.
All systems of oppression require us to disconnect from our body’s internal cues individually and collectively in order to function, replacing inherent, unshakeable human worth with hierarchies of conditional humanity. This disconnection often keeps us in survival mode, depleting us and leading us to act in ways that harm ourselves and one another in order to keep our heads afloat.
Our Embodiment Retreats seek to disrupt this dynamic through supporting you in:
Self-Discovery + Re-Embodiment
Discover and gain greater clarity on your body’s personal values, needs, and desires through guided exploration of your body’s internal cues.
Building Self-Trust + Aligned Decision-Making Strategies
Learn how to build self-trust and feel confident in making decisions for yourself that take all of your needs, desires, and values into consideration through listening to and honoring your areas of motivation and resistance, rather than honoring one at the expense of another.
Learning + Strengthening Humanizing Relationship Skills + Practices
Engage in opportunities to experience human connection that is based on shared respect for the fullness of one another’s humanity through putting these discoveries into values-aligned practice in co-created relationships with fellow retreat attendees.
Deep, Restorative Self-Nurturance
Creating a space and permission to step away from your day-to-day life in order to prioritize deep self-nurturance and care through rest, play, pleasure, connection, laughter, creation, grief and release, joyful movement, and more.
