Nourishing the soft animal of our bodies: a winter rest practice
Saturday, January 10th, 12:30-2:30pm
Hope central church, JP
Max 12 participants
After a full holiday season, our bodies, like those of all other animals in nature, crave slowness, retreat and nourishment. Join us for an afternoon to slow down in community and feel what’s right here. Through herbal footbaths, embodied journaling, somatic exercises and community connection, We will build a container of rest and care for this winter season.
This is an extra special “goodbye” offering, as it’s the last facilitated event Em will be offering before they move from Boston to Saint Simons Island in Georgia for the winter. Come say goodbye and enjoy an afternoon in community as we see them off!
facilitated by local artist + embodiment facilitator, Emily Tebbetts (they/them) || @emilyismaking
and local herbalist + fiber artist, Maggie Ruth Haaland (she/they) || @maggieruth
One trade ($0) ticket available in exchange for an extra set of hands to assist with the footbaths - please email maggie_haaland@hotmail.com to inquire about this spot.
One $30 ticket available for someone who would otherwise be unable to attend due to the financial barrier - if this is you, select that ticket option and check out as usual.
